As authorized by Title 39, Tribal Historic Preservation, of the Tribal Code, the Tribal Historic Preservation Officer may certify Tribal Members and Non-members as artisans for purposes of the Indian Arts and Crafts Act (P.L. 101-644). Tribal Member applicants must submit a copy of their Verification of Tribal Membership Letter (obtained through the PCI Enrollment Office) or a copy of their Tribal Member ID Card (obtained through the PCI Tribal Member Benefits Department). Non-Member Indian Artist applicants must submit either a copy of your First Generation Letter or descendant letter. (may be obtained by contacting PBCI Tribal Enrollment Department) This category of certification is available only to individuals who are of proven Indian descent from the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and can verify with an official letter from Enrollment.
A picture of the type(s) of art that you create is also required as part of your application. A certificate will be issued after photos or video is received, reviewed, and approved.
